Connect PayTravel to Claude

Add PayTravel as a connector in Claude, then ask about your trips, applications and bookings in a chat.

What you need

A PayTravel account and Claude on claude.ai or the desktop app; once added, it also works in the mobile apps. Custom connectors work on every Claude plan: Free (one custom connector), Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds PayTravel once in Organization settings › Connectors (Add › Custom › Web), then each person connects it.

Your connector link

Paste this link when Claude asks for the server URL. It's the same for every PayTravel workspace.

  1. 1

    Open Connectors

In Claude, go to Customize › Connectors. Choose + Add, then Add custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, find PayTravel in the list instead, choose Connect and go to step 4.

  2. 2

    Add PayTravel

Enter PayTravel as the name, paste https://api.paytravel.co/mcp and choose Continue. Claude detects the sign-in settings; choose Continue again.

  3. 3

    Keep sign-in on

Under Authentication, choose Sign in now. If Claude asks about the OAuth client, choose Register automatically. Leave Request headers empty, then choose Add.

  4. 4

Log in to PayTravel and approve

PayTravel opens. Log in with your email, check the permissions and choose Connect. You're sent back to Claude.

  5. 5

Turn it on in a chat

In a chat, select + at the bottom left, choose Connectors and switch on PayTravel. Then ask your question.

The PayTravel permission screen

Before anything connects, PayTravel lists what Claude asks to do, such as See your workspaces, trips, applications and summaries. If Claude also asks to make changes, you'll see Make changes only after you confirm each one. Choosing Connect approves what's listed, and every change is still shown to you first and waits for your OK in the chat. Choose Cancel if you'd rather not connect. Travelers' emails, phone numbers, documents and payment details are never shared.

Things to ask

Write like you'd talk to a colleague. A few to start:

  • “How many travelers are booked on the Patagonia trip?”
  • “Which trips are open for applications right now?”
  • “Show the applications waiting for my review.”
  • “Summarize this week's new applications and bookings.”
  • “Write an Instagram post for the July trip with its dates.”
  • “Show the reviews waiting for approval and publish the ones I pick.”

Disconnect

In PayTravel, open the user menu → Profile → Connected Apps and choose Disconnect next to Claude. It loses access right away, and you can connect it again later. To remove it from Claude too, go to Customize › Connectors, select the three dots next to PayTravel and choose Remove.

Troubleshooting

  • No Add custom connector option: on Team and Enterprise, only owners add connectors. Ask an owner to add PayTravel, then connect it from Customize › Connectors.
  • On the Free plan you already have a custom connector: Free allows one, so remove the other one first.
  • Claude doesn't use PayTravel: check it's switched on under + › Connectors in that chat.
  • “Couldn't connect”: check the link is exactly https://api.paytravel.co/mcp, with no spaces before or after it.
  • A workspace is missing: you only see workspaces you belong to, and the workspace needs an active PayTravel subscription.
  • It stopped answering about PayTravel: disconnect it in Connected Apps, then connect it again.
  • Still stuck? Email support@paytravel.co and a person answers, usually the same day.

Same followers. More bookings.
